Naxos is the first largest island of the Cyclades complex and offers great history and mythology, variety of activities, gastronomy based on traditional products produced on the island, lively nightlife and magical beaches.

The island, from north to south, is crossed by a low-altitude mountain range, the highest peak of which is Drios or otherwise Za, which means Jupiter or Zeus. According to mythology, this particular peak received its name from the birth and upbringing of Zeus in Naxos.

  •  Naxos Graviera (hard sweet cheese, PDO product produced from 80% cow’s milk or a mixture of cow-sheep milk and 20% goat’s milk.

  •  Naxos potatoes (PGI product produced since the beginning of the 19th century)

  •  Melahrino (a type of walnut pie that contains a small amount of citrus and is usually served with traditional kaimaki ice cream made from sheep’s milk)
